These essays in seven languages (German, English, Italian, Croatian, Polish, Russian, and Czech) on history and theory, on past and present interactions between Eastern and Western Europe, on philological and cultural aspects of word, sentence and text in their Slavic instantiation illustrate through their results the fruitfulness of interdisciplinary approaches in the humanities.
